1 Thessalonians 2:4

But as we have been approved by God
to be entrusted
with the gospel, even so we speak,
not as pleasing men, but God who tests our hearts.

Don't you think that's why Paul charged Timothy to 'preach the Word,' not be witty, or entertain them so they'll listen?

What if instead of the sermon or lesson the teacher/preacher/pastor/facilitator just read a book of the Bible?

I was challenged in the area of evangelism in this book. I struggle so much to just open my mouth and start talking!

Liz, I don't think I've ever heard this verse expounded, so it isn't too well-worn for me!
